NO way. It's ridiculous. To Bill O'Reilly's comment I say, are you disgusted when they show heterosexual kisses in a commercial selling condiments? I bet he isn't, I'm certain his problem is because it is two guys. Big deal. In Britain there are ads with topless women and other ads are highly sexually suggestive and those ads are allowed to stay. An ad where two people kiss is pulled. The difference? The other ads suggest straight sex, the Heinz ad did not so it is pulled. I thought England was more tolerant than that and that the US was the last bastion of bigotry and intolerance.

We need to stop this immoral type of media from ever making it to the airwaves. If Gays want to advertise then have it aired on predominantly Gay network channels. This should never be shown on mainstream networks. These are family based and no STRAIGHT family wants to see two people of the opposite sex doing anything more than talking, and even that is strange. Keep gays off the airwaves and in their own bedrooms. Noone wants to see any Gay activities whatsoever. Stay in the closet where you all belong. The ad should not have been pulled. What if it were an opposite-sex couple? It would only be inappropriate for children if the two individuals kissing were locking lips, swapping tongues and crawling all over each other - regardless if they were same or opposite sex couples. My question - why should an ad for mayo have anyone kissing?

Evolution is the root of all evil, in the beginning everything was perfect in the garden of Eden, and ever since then humankind has evolved into a hateful evil being doing anything it can to pervert God's perfection and justify it. the fact that homosexuals don't tolerate religious people shows their hypocrisy on the issue of tolerance. to get tolerance homosexuals have to tolerate religious information in the public square, anything else is intolerance by homosexuals.

Amen to that. People who get so upset about the "appropriateness" for children are just making excuses because, guess what? Children don't have any preconceived notions about homosexuality. If you make no comment about the commercial, they probably wouldn't even notice. If they did, you just explain that there are lots of different kinds of families. These people who complain all act like they are going to have to explain in great detail all of the mechanics of homosexual sex. Kids, quite simply, don't give a damn until adults poison their minds.

There isn't anything right with being gay! The Holy Bible specifically states that numerous times! The ad should have absolutely been pulled. It is disgusting! I feel bad for the children and their parents that allowed them to be part of such a commercial. The great United States, (which I proudly served in the Marine Corps) has allowed everything that we once stood for to casually erode because we are trying too hard not to "offend" anybody...it is very sad!

Heinz was correct in pulling the ad. I do not care if you are gay, your choice. But its my choice, if I want to see it and I do not. I am sick and tired of the minority trying to tell the majority that because we do not agree there is something wrong with our thinking. BS - its a democracy. It is my choice if and when to explain to my children what "gay" is. Not yours. For me and I'm sure I'm not the only one, everytime I go to buy mayonnaise, if Heinz is available, I'm thinking of this commercial. If they had not of pulled the ad, I would probably never buy the product again. There are very few ways that I can express my views and my money is one of them. No, it shouldn't have. Homosexuals are part of the population, always have been, and always will be. I suspect the biggest problem for many of those complaining is that it was two guys kissing. Had it shown two women kissing there probably would've been far fewer complaints. Afterall, in hypocritical fashion, lots of men get off on two women kissing yet they get in a dither if two women actually have a real relationship, not to mention that they've shown women kissing on all kinds of TV shows and not late hours. Rarely do they show men kissing.

If Britain can show topless women in ads, then it should show two men kissing. Either that or stop exploiting women to sell products.

As one reader wrote, being homosexual has become more and more acceptable, not to mention almost as "unavoidable" as those heterosexuals around us. Are those offended actually suggesting that this is inappropriate for children? Seriously. It was in no way inappropriate, and I suspect had the 'mum' actually been a woman, they all would have smiled. Its REALITY. Who ARE these people who are trying so desperately to stagnate, or better yet, regress? I thought we had grown much more than this as a society. How very sad.
